Our plots are located in the northwest of Saint
Emilion appellation, on ground made of blue clay and
eolian sands.
The grape varieties correspond perfectly to this land:
Merlot (70%), early variety, like clay and
is in the basement while benefiting from the drainage and the heat of
the sand. These two factors combined allow it to achieve a
perfect balance between sugar and acidity.
Cabernet Franc (30%), grape later,
have to wait 15 days more than the merlot to reach perfect maturity. It gives structure and finesse.
We work our 1.3 hectares of vines as we could
garden. We take care of each vine, from the pruning to the grape harvest to
bring out the best.
